Our Ethos
We want to help children in Great Horton thrive through play.
Activities we like to do
Here are some examples of activities we like to get up to at St John's Under 5's Pre-School
Garden & Nature
We have a lovely outside space to play and explore our natural world.
Dressing up
To encourage the children's imagination, we have lots of dressing up clothes, and do lots of pretend play.
Building
Lego and other building activites are wonderful for children's fine motor skills and developing creativity at a young age.
Reading
We love to read books together, it helps us to develop English skills, but also integrate learning about the world and our cultures.
Art & Painting
Every week we do different art projects, and like to sometimes get messy with painting or exploring other types of art.
Puzzles & Games
We like to help the children develop their problem solving skills through puzzles and games.
Founded by St John's Church over 30 years ago
We have a Christian ethos of love for all people, and are linked with St John's Great Horton Church and the Red Letter Project.
We welcome children from all faiths and none and aim to create an environment which encourages exploring faith from a young age.
We are a not-for-profit pre-school, and our aim is to reinvest into our community.
